Making eCommerce e-z
The designers and programmers at Digital Lagoon recently completed two Web sites that will make life a little easier for our clients as well as their customers.
Meyer Music (www.meyermusic.com) is a locally owned business with three locations that provides instrument rental, books, lessons, etc., to students and school districts throughout the Kansas City metro area. Digital Lagoon made things as simple as possible for parents and students to order everything they need for the musical school year.
Once the student selects an instrument and school district, the site automatically displays any ancillary products that are needed to study music, such as stands or books. All of these products are displayed on one page, so instead of clicking on various links to make individual purchases, the parent or student can simply select all or part of the page and move it to the shopping cart.
Troop Tributes (www.trooptributes.com) offers a new line of military-themed gold and silver jewelry items. The dies used to manufacture these unique pieces date back to the 1920’s. The site features multiple product views and multiple choices of metals. Because the prices of gold and silver fluctuate daily, the client uses a site administration tool to plug in the current price. The shopping cart then takes this updated information and automatically calculates the cost based on the latest price rise or decline.
Since 1995, Digital Lagoon has helped hundreds of companies make eCommerce a strong, viable part of their business. From the very beginning, our primary focus has been to create Web sites that are inviting, easy to navigate and responsive to the needs of customers.
